website redesign & replatforming

Redesign or replatform your website without losing what it already earned.

A new site can quietly throw away years of search history, bookmarked links and working email. The design is the easy part. We plan every URL, redirect and integration before anything moves, so the new site starts where the old one left off.

where redesigns go wrong

The traffic cliff

Change the URLs without redirects and every link and search result pointing at the old site breaks overnight. We map every old URL to its new home and test the redirects before launch.

Content that doesn't make the trip

Posts, files and media get left behind when a migration is treated as copy and paste. We move content programmatically and check it against the source, so nothing is quietly lost.

The things that break at cutover

DNS, email and form delivery are what actually fail on launch day. We treat them as part of the scope, not an afterthought.

this is for you if

  • You're moving off Wix, Squarespace, WordPress or a custom build and can't afford to lose search traffic.
  • Your site has years of content that has to come across intact.
  • You've been burned by a launch that broke links, forms or email.

it's not the right fit if

  • Your current platform works and the design is the only problem. A redesign on the same platform is cheaper, and we'll say so.
  • You want the move done this week with no plan. That's how the traffic cliff happens.

how to start

Plan the move, then build it. Each is quoted at a fixed price.

Every change to a 20-year-old WordPress site went through a developer. We rebuilt it so staff create and edit every page themselves, and covered the old site with path-preserving 301 redirects down to the legacy slugs.

  • ~38 pages rebuilt
  • 100% of pages edited by staff in the CMS
  • 26 page-builder blocks, so staff build new pages without a developer

Too many pages and one unwatched inbox left enquiries unanswered. We consolidated the site, redirected every deleted page instead of dropping it so the site kept its search equity, and brought event registration onto the site, which removed the per-event fee the organization had been paying its old ticketing provider.

common questions

Will we lose our Google rankings?

Not if the move is planned. The main cause of a post-launch drop is broken URLs, and we map every old URL to a new one with a tested 301 redirect before launch. Nobody can promise rankings, but we can make sure the move itself doesn't throw them away.

Can you move our content for us?

Yes. We move posts, pages and media programmatically and check the result against the old site rather than copying by hand.

Will our email keep working?

Email and DNS are part of the plan, not an afterthought. We map them before anything moves so mail keeps flowing through the cutover.

Should we redesign or replatform?

It depends on whether the platform is the problem. The $197 Site & Stack Teardown answers that before you spend real money, and we also publish a free replatform checklist if you'd like to check it yourself first.
